This market has not only attracted the careful deployment of foreign enterprises, but also provided new opportunities for many domestic enterprises. On the whole, China's 3C electronics industry has the largest market application space for consumer electronics in South China, but robot application is also the most difficult in the industry.
Take the mobile phone industry as an example. At present, China's mobile phone manufacturing giants are Foxconn, Huawei, etc. They intend to invest more intelligent manufacturing equipment, and the application of robots has attracted much attention. However, due to the cyclical nature and production process requirements of mobile phones and other products, it is difficult for some existing robots to comprehensively, completely and cost effectively replace manual labor. Therefore, the application of robots is still in the exploration period.
The automation demand of China's 3C industry is mainly in component processing, such as the manufacturing of functional components such as glass panels, mobile phone shells, PCBs, etc; Assembly and inspection; Labeling of parts and the whole machine. The current situation is that the parts are automatically processed, and most of them are manual. Globally, the robot application in 3C field in China is far from enough.
Taking mobile phone communication as an example, mobile phone production is divided into three major links: patch, testing and assembly, with more than 80 processes in total. Each process has high requirements for the production environment, so the workshop has temperature and humidity, electrostatic protection and other equipment. Take Shenzhen as an example. The daily production capacity of its electronics manufacturing company can be calculated in millions, which is the basis for the introduction of robots. However, the manufacturing technology of parts and components, including some mobile phone cases, glass and covers, is quite mature in technology and equipment, which has a high possibility of automation development and operability. On the whole, the degree of automation in the assembly process of the entire electronic products is very low, and the automation of the 3C industry is still in the single station stage.
Market opportunities and challenges
The change of competition has prompted 3C electronics manufacturers to innovate their production efficiency, so as to quickly respond to market changes and product updates, achieve more efficient production and manufacturing capabilities, and achieve higher quality product management and quality control. Agile manufacturing, flexible manufacturing and lean manufacturing have become the development direction of 3C electronic production enterprises, and the characteristics of industrial robots cater to this development direction and manufacturing trend: high precision, high flexibility and high precision.
Take communications as an example. From 2000 to 2014, China's mobile phone production increased 66 times. The rapidly growing mobile phone industry has also promoted the technical upgrading of equipment technology to a certain extent. 3C industry requires higher flexibility and accuracy of robots. In this regard, Chinese enterprises have the opportunity to "compete on the same platform" with international giants. The 3C industry with an output value of more than 120 billion yuan in the Pearl River Delta will become a strong support for the development of industrial robots in the Pearl River Delta. The 3C field will be a new opportunity and new market for the development of industrial robots.
With the attention paid to the 3C electronic industry, since 2014, more than a dozen robot concept companies in A-share have stepped into the 3C industry market, one of which is the manufacturer of core parts and robot body products, and the other is the system integrator, which carries out a "turn key" transformation of the factory. Whether internationally renowned robot enterprises or domestic major robot manufacturers, they have set their sights on the 3C electronic industry. Taking root in South China has also become their unanimous choice.
